Christmas Cards from Your Photos and/or Your Child's Artwork

If you have a special design request or question, just ask!
I love to work with my customers to create a truly custom design.

More than one child?  We can work with that, too!  We can take artwork from several different children and crop it and put it all together onto one card (see the "Angels" card in the sample just below).

FAQs:

What if I have more than one child?

Not a problem!  Here's an example:

This "Angels" card was designed using the separate artwork of 4 different children.   You can send each piece of art separately, and we will crop it and put it together on one card!

How do I get my artwork to you?

There are a couple of ways to get the artwork to us.  You can simply scan it, and email it to lisap@mylittlerembrandt.com , or you can simply snail mail it to Lisa Pallardy, My Little Rembrandt., 9602 W Lake Camelot Drive, Mapleton, IL  61547.   We will gladly scan it for you at no additional cost, as long as it is 8.5 x 11 inches or smaller.  If your artwork is larger than 8.5 x 11 inches, there will be a $2 scan charge.  We'll even return your original artwork to you, if you want, but you'll have to pay the shipping cost.

What works best for the artwork?

Bright colors on bright white paper work best, like paint and markers, but crayon, colored pencils, and water color work well too.   So does cut and paste.

Can you help me with the inside text?

The inside text wording is completely up to you.  If you can't think of anything, try Googling "Christmas card wording" or something similar, and you'll get thousands of creative ideas!

What about the back of the cards?  What is that supposed to say?

Most people like to use the back of the cards to give credit to the artist.   Some suggestions are the child's (or artist's) name, age or grade, the date or "Christmas 2010," and if the artwork has a title, we can put that there too.   Generally, 3-4 lines of text can be used, but if you need more (or less) we're pretty flexible, and we'll work with you.

What size should the original artwork be?

Because the card dimensions are 7.75 x 5.25 (or 5.25 x 7.75, depending on which way you want the card to open), it's best if you can have your artwork created on paper that size, or a similar ratio.   However, if your child has already created a work of art that you really want to use, we will gladly work with you and make every attempt to make it fit!  You'll receive a proof of what your card will look like before we print, so you can decide how it looks.

What if I only need 40 cards?  Or what if I need 150 cards? Or 25?

If you need a different number of cards, just email lisap@mylittlerembrandt.com and we will give you a quote.

How long does all of this take?

We work with you and send you proofs of what the cards will look like until you love them.  This usually just takes a day and is generally completed by the end of the day you submit your order, but if it takes longer, that's okay!   At that point, everything is sent to a professional printer, who generally gets the printed cards back to us within 3-6 days.   We package them up and ship them via USPS Priority Mail, which generally delivers in 2-3 days from the day of shipping.    You will usually receive your cards in 7-10 days from the day you place your order.

What if I need the cards sooner than 7-10 days?

While we will make every effort to ask our printer to "rush" an order, we don't have control over her schedule.  However, we are always happy to ship FedEx if necessary.  If you need a quote for overnight delivery, just ask!
